People are standing outside my building, wanting to meet me. Some of them are getting very angry since they have been standing since a long time. It's like Amitabh Bachchan (laughs)...

Did you expect to win?
Honestly, no. I thought Vikas will pull it off, he knows so many people who must be in an overdrive mode. But as time went by, I began enjoying myself in the Bigg Boss house and felt that I did have a chance. 



Hina Khan?
I loved Hina before I entered Bigg Boss 11. I had seen her in some of the shows and I was quite fond of her. But I was shocked when I saw she had a problem about almost everything I did, almost from Day 1.

I remember asking her in early days if I could keep some of my things in a certain drawer which was given to us. She said: Mere Papa ka hai kya? Random stuff and too much aggression. She was getting into almost everything and making an issue about it.

Her call girl/chawl girl comment on you?
I don't know much about that, but she is more aggressive than a chawl girl. And she was also the Mohalle ki aunty.

Arre, talking all gossip. Like I remember once she started talking that Puneesh ka bachcha bhi hai. So what agar Puneesh ka bachcha hai? Then once she said 'Do you guys now that Arshi is married to some 50-year old man? Pray, how does all that matter?

Your take on her alleged 'Bulging Comment' that South filmmakers want bulging heroines only...
I think she didn't get work in the South industry, and that ‘Bulging’ comment is a consequent of that.

You mean it's a case of sour grapes?

Let me tell you I was in talks for a South film when I was 21-years-old. My waist was 26" then. Mind you, I was asked to reduce it. Toh, aisa kuch nahin hai that South filmmakers want bulging heroines.

Ponder a while. If that indeed was the case, how would Sonali Bendre have got films in South? Is she heavy? Is she fat?

And how can you forget Shilpa Shetty?

Ileana D'cruz too? She has not done badly either in the South industry...

Rumour has it since this morning that she made a big drama after her defeat and Live Voting was opened late in the contest to ensure that the results were validated... 
I think I have won purely on merit. Maybe the live voting was done to convince her. I don't know.

Would you attribute your victory to Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain or just Shilpa Shinde?
I realised that I haven't lost my fan following which I had on Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hai. But I won simply because I am Shilpa Shinde.

Was it because they were fond of your looks?
Yeah initially maybe, but later I started connecting with the audience I think. I was in the house just as I am in real life. I never put on an act. And when I say I won on merit, I simply mean the public was voting in my favour. I even sang a very besura song and Hina may have sung it better than me, but there too the public favoured me. We went to a mall, and it was evident from the reception I was getting from the public that they more wanted me than Hina to win.

Arshi Khan?
What about her?

I heard you both stay in the same building...
No, but yeah we did at one point of time. She moved out. She was in my building for only few days. 

Have you seen some of Arshi's latest videos--- bold and semi-nude?
Baap re! I have heard about this, but not seen them. I remembering telling her once to sit properly and not expose. I tried to tell her the difference between glamour and vulgarity- but I don't think she took it well. 

One thought that Arshi and you would have become good friends...
Hina created misunderstandings between Arshi and me. I don't think I can be great friends with Arshi. Sach bolun toh I can never be at Akash Dadlani and Arshi's levels. And you know what?

Did you ever abuse inside the house?
Nahin mujhe nahin aati gaali dena, like bas main gaali deti hi nahin. Kabhi Kabhi ch**iya word bol deti hoon, but not with aggression (pauses).

Lekin sometimes nowadays I feel that gaali deni chahiye.

Hina says you used muddy water while cooking food and consequently many inmates had stomach infection?
I didn't get any stomach infection and let me tell you that the Aqua purifier was not working and we had no option but to use tap water. And now let me inform that I was boiling the tap water before I used it for cooking. Was I doing anything wrong?

No serials for me anymore. Now, I want to host/anchor.  Bigg Boss has given back my place on TV

All said and done, I am looking at life now with much more positivity than before.

Did your Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hain producer text/call you when you won (Shilpa had parted ways from that serial on a very bitter note, alleging sexual harassment and non-payment)?
Well, I didn't get any message/call from Benaifer Kohli or her husband Sanjayji. I wasn't expecting it either. And that's that.
